HR Administrator

Position Summary:

The HR Administrator manages the overall provision of HR services, policies and
programs. Leads as the main HR person with 50+ employees for a non-profit organization with a background in employee relations.


Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting and staffing

  • Lead HR initiatives and improve HR processes

  • Conduct staff orientations on personnel policies, benefits, safety/wellness, performance
    management and office procedures

  • Work with the Personnel Committee of the Board

  • Assist staff with personnel concerns related to employee benefits, HR issues and relations

  • Keep the agency in compliance with HR regulations

  • Board Liaise

  • Supervise Front Office, oversee interns, volunteers

  • Coordinates company use of insurance broker, insurance carriers, and 401K administrators.

  • General office administrative responsibilities as identified

  • Participate in fundraising activities for the agency


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years+ of related experience

  • Professional In Human Resources

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Employment relations experience including conducting investigations, resource for employee issues/concerns

  • Bilingual in Chinese/English a plus

  • Strong, positive, and personable

ESOL Instructor (part-time)

Hours: 12-18 hours per week (3 hours/day, 4 days/week for teaching /prep time,  plus additional as needed)

Classes held: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 to 10:00

​

Wage: $22/hour plus, based on experience

​

Position Summary:

AACA seeks a part-time instructor to prepare for careers in banking. Topics include but are not limited to vocabulary, grammar, speaking, pronunciation, and job readiness topics such as American workplace culture, resume preparation, professional emailing, and interviewing.

​

Each class runs for eight weeks. Ongoing.

​

Responsibilities:

· Develop contextualized curriculum and lesson plans according to student needs, employer input, and supervisor feedback

· Conduct classroom instruction, starting and finishing classes on time

· Work with students to produce professional resumes

· Evaluate student progress, test pretests, and post-test

· Keep student attendance records for each day of class

· Actively participate in program meetings and work collaboratively with program partners

· Attend monthly staff meetings

· Participate in program evaluation and efforts to develop, refine, and improve the program

· Maintain regular contact with the supervisor regarding any classroom issues

· Prepare lesson materials for substitute teachers when absent

· Plan and participate in student graduation ceremonies

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Experience teaching ESOL to adults

· Experience differentiating instruction for multilevel classes
