Building Maintenance Training Program
The BEEMS Program is a 22-week long program that trains participants for a career as a maintenance worker/engineer. It teaches the fundamentals of carpentry, plumbing, painting, electricity, appliance repair, and cleaning plus English, math, and basic computers. This course includes a new “green” curriculum on energy efficiency and weatherization. The course includes a five-week internship.

How much does it cost?
BEEMS may be free to low-income or dislocated workers who qualify for funding. The cost without funding is $7,200.

We provide two years of job retention assistance to help you move up the career ladder and help you reach your potential.

- Valid U.S. driver’s license (preferred)
How do I apply?
English, math, and writing tests are required for admission, as well as an interview. You will need to come to an information and testing session at AACA in downtown Boston.
Testing sessions are held every Tuesday at 2 p.m. Check the calendar or the “Upcoming AACA Classes & Testing Sessions” list to the right of this page to see what date the next testing session will be. Please arrive on time and allow 2½ hours for testing.
Classes take place 5 days a week, 20 hours per week.
The Class meets Monday – Friday from 2:30-6:30 p.m. in Downtown Boston.
