Teen mentors spend two hours every Sunday afternoon working with younger children on a play-writing project. The mentor program at AACA provides elementary-age kids with positive older role models. They also learn the process of writing the plays along with the technical aspects of theatre and play-writing. The main goal is for the mentees and mentors to develop relationships that encourage positive social and emotional growth in the younger children. The children perform their original works at a professional venue when the program ends.
