Empowering Diverse Growth in Entrepreneurship
EDGE (Empowering Diverse Growth in Entrepreneurship) is our entrepreneurship and small business support program. EDGE provides individualized technical assistance and mentorship. We offer workshops tailored for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs and small business owners from all backgrounds.​
Through EDGE, you'll learn how to:

Strengthen leadership and operational skills
This course covers key aspects of starting and running a business, beginning with discussions on start-ups and pitch development, followed by identifying opportunities and evaluating ideas. It continues with an overview of legal formation and compliance, then moves into marketing strategies and techniques.
Students will also explore how to approach financial institutions for loans through a panel discussion. Financial literacy topics such as accounting, breakeven analysis, and profit margins are addressed, with a follow-up session focused on broader finance concepts.
The course is led by experienced professionals across fields like law, finance, and marketing, and students will be paired with mentors to help guide their entrepreneurial journey. It concludes with deeper marketing and business planning discussions, ending in a final class featuring five-minute pitch presentations.
